The terrain model.
Beyond the office.

Keep survey data, GIS projects and large terrain models on the Windows workstation where they already run. Remotle brings the desktop to another desk or laptop, with the host’s graphics card and memory handling the application.1

The dataset stays.
The viewpoint moves.

A mapping or terrain project can depend on raster data, point clouds, surfaces and linked reference files. Reach the existing project environment instead of preparing another full copy on a laptop.

The host continues to access its own project locations. Your endpoint receives the desktop picture and sends input back, letting you inspect the working model in its installed application.

Survey & modelling

Inspect point clouds, terrain surfaces and survey models on the workstation configured to handle them. Use the application’s normal tools and project references.

GIS & mapping

Work with layers, labels and linked datasets in the installed GIS environment. Keep mapping applications and supporting project documents on the same Windows desktop.

Site review

Reach the office machine during a project review from another location. Test the site connection with a representative model before planning a field workflow around it.

Small labels.
Large landscapes.

Judge the remote desktop with the range of detail your mapping and modelling work actually contains.

Fine map detail
Use full-colour 4:4:4 transport for fine coloured lines and text. Check map legends, contour labels and layer colours at normal working zoom.
Model navigation
Pan and rotate the working dataset using the host GPU. Evaluate both movement and the time it takes the application itself to load or process the data.
Field connectivity
The remote picture depends on the available connection. Try the office, home and project networks you expect to support rather than assuming they behave alike.

Less to duplicate.
More ways to connect.

Use a laptop for remote review and a dedicated terminal at a permanent desk. The project stays in the workstation’s working environment, with access to its installed tools and existing project storage.

Remote desktop, connection broker and zero client mode, together. Compare the whole route from the Windows workstation to the desk, including the client device and the people who use it.

The compact Remotle zero client device

A simpler desk.
A full workstation.

Bring the point cloud.
Keep the small labels.

Choose a representative survey or mapping project, including its linked datasets and normal view settings.

  • Pan and rotate a large terrain or point-cloud view.
  • Inspect contour labels, layer colours and reference paths.
  • Test the workflow over the intended project-site connection.
For your IT team: read about security

1 Performance depends on the workstation, the client device and its displays, and the network connection.

2 Applications run on the Windows host. Check software requirements and remote-use licensing for your intended deployment.

3 4:4:4 colour depends on the workstation graphics card and the client device. HDR10 needs an HDR monitor and a client device that supports HDR.

4 Resolution, frame rate and the number of monitors depend on the workstation graphics card, the client device and its displays, and the network connection. Picture quality and frame rate adjust to the bandwidth available.
